tie top

The Tie Top ran for 3 seasons and had consistent sell-through.
Domestically sourced fabric, natural fibers, and a margin that worked at $18 wholesale and $58 MSRP.

Linen Tie Top

It’s consistent sell-through proved the concept.
I extended the tie detail across multiple silhouettes, turning a single bestseller into a design language and product family.
The tie concept became an NLT signature.

The Lantern Pant

The Tie Top needed a bottom, so I designed The Lantern Pant. The Lantern Pant became an NLT fan favorite in its own right, with consistent sell-through across 2 seasons and multiple fabric and color iterations. The elastic waistband was intentional: the ease of a lounge pant, the look of something special, and a forgiving fit that worked across sizes. Designing the Lantern Pant sparked a genuine passion for pants development that carried through the rest of the line.

To keep with the denim theme for the new season I sourced a heavier weight denim and garment washed the pant for a lived-in, sun faded finish. The Light Wash Lantern Pant kept the silhouette familiar while giving it a fresh seasonal identity.

@missflyfits

For Fall/Winter I sourced deadstock domestically milled Fleece and designed the Vernon Lantern Sweat Pant for cozy, cold-weather fabrication. It adapted to the season and grounded in sustainable sourcing.

A tall length extension was driven by customer demand which gave the Lantern Pant a broader fit range, opened up a new customer segment, and directly increased sales.

As a the Summer season approached, I transitioned the fabrication to create the Linen Lantern Pant which adapted to the seasonality, and also changed the silhouette to give it more ease and flow.

Our top performer. The Black Denim Lantern Pant achieved best seller status through organic online word-of-mouth alone.

The Barrel Pant

As the market shifted toward more exaggerated, oversized silhouettes, I took it as a signal to evolve. The Barrel Pant was a natural next best selling pant style. A wider, bolder shape built on the same foundation as the Lantern Pant, with added design details including interior knee darts for structure and intention. I introduced the Hudson first, using the same trusted denim fabrication in black and a garment washed bleach finish. The same customer who loved the Lantern Pant grew with us into the Barrel Pant.

York Barrel Pant in Navy

York Barrel Pant in Ivory

The York Barrel Pant followed in the FW 2024 after, developed in a 10oz twill bull denim for a heavier, more structured hand. Same barrel silhouette, different fabrication story. The twill bull denim was garment washed for shrinkage and for a more softer worn feeling.
